Lance Armstrong Admits on Oprah to Using Performance Enhancing Drugs

Lance Armstrong has admitted to doping during his interview with Oprah Winfrey, a person familiar with the situation reported.

Armstrong’s entourage was seen leaving the downtown Austin hotel where the interview took place, including the cyclist’s attorneys Tim Herman and Sean Breen, as well as his agent and manager Bill Stapleton.

None of them commented on the interview.

His meeting with Winfrey Monday is the first time the athlete comments on the doping allegations brought against him in a report by the US Anti-Doping Agency, the Washington Post reported.

Oprah tweeted afterwards: ”Just wrapped with @lancearmstrong More than 2 1/2 hours . He came READY!”

Lance Armstrong also gave a “sincere and heartfelt apology” to his Livestrong staff members before the interview with Winfrey.
