Autopsy reveals Glee star Cory Monteith died of lethal dose of Heroine and Alcohol

Cory Monteith died from a “mixed drug toxicity that involved heroin, primarily, and also alcohol,” according to an initial autopsy report conducted by the British Columbia Coroner’s Office.

The Glee actor who played the character of ‘Finn’ and has struggled with addiction since he was a young teenager, died from a lethal combination of heroin and alcohol.

Cory was found dead in his room at the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel in Vancouver, Canada on Saturday July 13th. He had been scheduled to check out earlier that day, but when he failed to do so, hotel staff entered his room and discovered his body.

His longtime girlfriend and fellow Glee star Lea Michele has been grieving with the family. In a statement to People magazine, Michele’s spokesperson said: “Lea is deeply grateful for all the love and support she’s received from family, friends and fans. Since Cory’s passing, Lea has been grieving alongside his family and making appropriate arrangements with them.”
