Match Fixing Scandal: Super Eagles defender, Sam Sodje arrested

Sam Sodje was secretly filmed by The Sun (newspaper) on Sunday when he was describing how he punched an Oldham Athletic player so that he can get a red card in exchange for 70,000 pounds.

The Nigerian International who made only nine appearances for Portsmouth last season was arrested by the National Crime Agency (NCA) along five others.

He was sent off in the 50th minute of a League One match against Oldham Athletic on 23 February.

Also caught in the match fixing web is Blackburn Rovers’ striker Dj Campbell.
