It appears we are not yet done with the ASUU issue.
The president of the union, Nasir Fagge disclosed during an interview via telephone that they are yet to receive the 2013 allocation meant to revitalize the country’s universities.
According to Fagge, the Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike, who is the head of the implementation committee, is always busy and this has prevented him (Wike) from having regular meetings with the union. At the moment, Wike is not in the country.
Here we go again. Can’t someone less busy be given to ASUU so that they can have regular meetings to quickly sort this out before it escalates again?
By the way, didn’t Wike appear on a Channels TV programme in Abuja yesterday?
Let’s hope they sort themselves out!
