When love is torn apart and flowers or diamonds can’t fill the gap, what do you do? You get an iPhone 6!
A heartbroken 41-year-old man from Poland, queued outside an Apple store in England for 44 hours to buy an iPhone 6 to make his estranged wife happy.
Darius Wlodarski arrived a day before anyone else, and was the first person in the queue.
His wife, Joana, whom he was married to for 20 years, is said to have left him after accusing him of “valuing material possessions over his family”, according to Daily Mail.
But the repentant husband was determined to keep a promise he made to her before their split – to buy her an iPhone 6.
“I did so many things wrong and I want to say sorry to my wife and daughter that I wasn’t as good as I could. It took me a while to realise what really mattered – and that is my family.
My wife said to me I should remember that it is now ‘things’ that matter, that I was worrying too much about saving for things, and she was right.
I know an iPhone is another ‘thing,’ but I told her I would get her one and I wanted to keep my promise,†he said.
Some men have been slaying him on social media, because Wlodarski is currently unemployed but spent £800 on the phone, using his credit card to pay. To those blasting him, i say, “Is it your money?”
